How It Works — ChopDial

From busy tone
to order confirmed.

You're on a call with one customer. Three more are trying to reach you. Here's how ChopDial handles all of them at the same time.

What your customer does instead of calling you.
01

Dial instead of call

Instead of calling the restaurant and waiting on hold, your customer dials a USSD code — just like they do for MoMo. Any phone, any network, no internet needed. They already know how to do this.

Common questions

Does the customer need a smartphone?
No. ChopDial works on any mobile phone — from the simplest keypad phone to the latest smartphone. As long as it can make calls and use USSD (which virtually all Ghanaian phones can), it works.
What if the restaurant is closed?
If a restaurant has set themselves to "Closed" on their dashboard, customers will see a message saying the restaurant is currently closed when they dial in. No order will be placed.
Which networks are supported?
All three major Ghanaian networks — MTN, AirtelTigo, and Telecel. Any customer on any of these networks can order, and any restaurant can receive payments via any of these MoMo services.
What happens if a payment fails?
If the MoMo payment is not approved or fails, the order is not placed and no money leaves the customer's account. The customer can try again or use a different payment method.
How quickly does the restaurant get paid?
Payments are processed through Paystack and settled to the restaurant's MoMo account based on Paystack's settlement schedule — typically within 1-3 business days, minus ChopDial's 9% fee.
